Are you looking for online MBA programs for students with children? Are you worried about the impact of working while studying? Do you want to study part-time or full-time but still want to work? In this article, I am going to share my personal experiences as well as those of others who have gone through similar situations.
I was a single parent when I decided to go back to school. I had been working as a software engineer for over 10 years at a large company. My son was just 3 months old when I started my studies. I wanted to continue with my career but also wanted to give him a good upbringing. I knew that I would not be able to devote all my time to both of us. That’s why I chose an online program.
When I first enrolled in the program, I did not tell anyone about my situation. I thought that they wouldn’t approve of me being away from my child. However, after a few weeks, I realized that everyone understood my situation. They were supportive and helped me find ways to balance my life.
Even though I was only taking classes during the daytime, I was able to complete my degree successfully. I learned how to manage my time efficiently and I was able to focus on my studies without feeling guilty.
My advice to parents who want to pursue their education and careers is to talk to their family members and friends before enrolling in any online program. Find out whether they think you should prioritize your studies or your family. Also, ask yourself whether you are willing to sacrifice your career for your studies.
Once you decide to enroll in an online program, make sure that you are ready to commit yourself fully. This means that you need to be disciplined and organized. Make sure that you have a plan B if something goes wrong.
Also, remember that you will probably face challenges along the way. Don’t let them discourage you. Instead, use them as learning opportunities.
Finally, always keep in mind that it takes hard work to succeed. Be patient, stay focused and never give up!
Enroll in an MBA abroad
It might happen that an online MBA isn’t exactly what you need, whether because you don’t want to take off so much time from your current job, or because you prefer attending classes in person rather than online.
Whatever your reason may be, there is a wide range of options available. Some people choose to attend an American university, some opt for European universities (check our article about the top business schools in Portugal), and others look into Asian universities.
Whichever one you choose, you’ll have to consider several factors.
